Green Team

The St. John's Green Team is charged with developing and implementing new initiatives for reducing the carbon footprint of our church and church community.  Please contact Jen Murphy for more information. 

Parishioners and members of the clergy are asked to use the following Green Policy to help St. John’s reduce it’s carbon footprint and celebrate God’s Creation.

Green Policy

The current members of St. John’s parish are committed to caring for God’s Creation.  The goal is to preserve the Earth’s natural resources so it can be cherished for generations to come. To that end, we encourage all parishioners and committee organizers to consider ways in which we can support this ultimate goal while participating in church-related initiatives. This includes recycling, reducing waste, eliminating plastics (including plastic water bottles), reducing paper by using electronic communications (when possible), and using eco-friendly cleaning and art supplies.
